Kingwood

One of the fastest growing suburbs today is Kingwood. It has been planned to perfection by the Friendswood Development firm. Most of the Kingwood residents rave endlessly about the “Greenbelts,” a fun-filled activity park for citizens. The economy has taken a major boost after several national retailers moved their business to a Kingwood location. This has further acted as a catalyst in attracting residents.

One draw-back may be the house prices in Kingwood which are a touch above the national average. The suburb also has excellent educational institutions, recognized by Texas Education Agency.

Clear Lake

Clear Lake’s development was accelerated by the fast developing aerospace industry of’60’s. Even today it is one of the major revenue drivers of Houston. It has also gained popularity due to the proximity to the activity-rich Kemah Boardwalk and Galveston Bay areas.

Kemah Boardwalk is the ideal place for fun filled day in pleasant weather. It has in its arsenal the typical fair games like the skee ball & knocking over milk jugs with softballs. Apart from this the boardwalk is adorned with trendy shopping outlets and numerous eateries.

Clear Lake is also famous for its educational competency; the Clear Creek Independent School District has been honored as a “Recognized” school district for six consecutive years.

Sugarland

Sugar Land initially came into focus because of being the home base of Imperial Sugar. But today, Sugar Land is the fastest growing of Texas’ 45 largest cities. It has been documented that the suburb has more than 2,300 restaurants, 80 theatrical troupes and over 50 public libraries in its 30 mile radius. Sugar Land also proudly displays its eight outdoor parks, built for the enjoyment of its 70,000 strong population. Experts suggest that there would be further increase in the outdoor activities as this has been the trend with most Space City suburbs.

Sugarland education system also has strong foundation and in a recent survey it was named one of the 100 best school districts in America in which to obtain a fine arts education.
